The ZX Series close-coupled self priming pump manufactured by our factory is an energy-saving water pump developed based on advanced technology and structural improvements. Featuring a compact direct-connection design, this high-performance self priming pump offers easy operation, smooth running, simple maintenance, high efficiency, and long service life. As one of the most reliable centrifical water pumps for clean water and industrial fluids, this water pump requires no foot valve in the pipeline; it only needs initial priming liquid inside the pump body before starting, simplifying piping systems significantly.

Application Areas

Industrial & Municipal Applications:
Idealself priming pump for municipal drainage, construction dewatering, fire protection, mining flush, and equipment cooling. These versatile centrifical water pumps are also widely used in chemical processing, pharmaceuticals, dyestuffs, printing, brewing, power plants, electroplating, and papermaking industries.
Agricultural & Irrigation:

Q1: Does the ZX pump require manual priming before every start-up?

A：No. You only need to fill the pump casing with water once during the initial installation. The built-in priming chamber and integrated check valve retain sufficient liquid in the pump body. For all subsequent start-ups, the pump automatically vents air and draws fluid within 2 to 3 minutes (depending on piping distance).

Q2: What is the maximum self-priming lift, and can it be increased for deeper suction?

A: The standard ZX pump delivers a rated self-priming lift of 5 meters. For applications requiring deeper suction (up to 7–8 meters) or faster priming cycles, we can integrate a vacuum-assisted system or a priming tank.

Engineering Note: Keep suction piping horizontally short, limit elbows to ≤2, and ensure 100% airtight flanged joints to prevent vacuum loss.

Q3: What fluid types and particle concentrations can the ZX pump process?

A: Designed for clean water, industrial wastewater, and light chemicals, the ZX pump handles solid particles up to ≤ 50% of impeller channel clearance with a maximum particle concentration of 1.2% by volume.

For High Solids: If your fluid contains thick sludge, heavy slurry, or long fibrous debris, we recommend our ZW Non-Clogging Self-Priming Sewage Pump.

Q4: What material grades and seal configurations are available for corrosive fluids?

A: We provide standard Cast Iron for general water transfer, as well as Stainless Steel 304, 316, 316L, and Duplex Stainless Steel (2205,2507) for aggressive acid, alkali, or seawater applications. Depending on the chemical concentration and maximum operating temperature of 120°C, various mechanical seal solutions can be customized, including cartridge seals and double mechanical seals.

Q5: How does the pump design simplify on-site maintenance and reduce downtime?

A: Featuring a Back Pull-Out modular design, the rotating assembly (shaft, bearings, impeller, and mechanical seal) can be removed for inspection or replacement without disconnecting the suction/discharge piping.
